See comments here. All Australian grasshopper researchers agree that this change is incorrect and rather nonsensical. Pyrgophistes and its related undescribed genera are very clearly not closely related to Mesambriini, so keeping them separate here on iNat is preferable. Many species in this subtribe are completely undescribed and Pyrgophistina is the closest identification that can be given. Additionally, all Australian references (correctly) refer to these as Pyrgophistina.
